Kollel Torah Mitzion has a core faculty of graduates from Hesder Yeshivot in Israel who come here to serve as teachers and role models in our community. The core of the Kollel is the Beit Midrash which features a full schedule of classes as well as a drop-in center with a warm atmosphere where all, regardless of background, feel comfortable.

Rav Nadav & Dorit Levin, Rosh Kollel Family

Rav Levin was born in the city of Bnei Brak. He learned at Kiryat Herzog High School and was a madrich for Beni Akiva for 2 years. He then learned in the Hesder Yeshiva of Maalot and served in a Tank Unit in the army. After getting married, he was an avreich at Yeshivat Hakotel for the last 8 years and revceived his B.Ed. and passed his Rabbinical exams for the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Rav Levin taught in Ulpanat Neve Chanaand and was a madrich for shana aleph bachurim at Yeshivat Hakotel.

 

Dorit was born in Israel, in the city of Bnei Brak. She studied in Ulpanat Bnei Brak and was a madricha of Beni Akiva for 2 years. Dorit did Sheirut Leumi in Ofakim, after which she studied graphic design in Michlelet Emunah in Yerushalayim. She worked several years for different advertizing companies and for Binyan Shalem – a family counselling organization.

Rav Nadav and Dorit have 4 daughters Oriya, Yael, Renana & Tzion.

 

Eddie Shostak, Executive Director

Eddie Shostak, received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from McGill University. He studied at Yeshivat Ohr Somayach of Montreal, Yeshivat Noam HaTorah in Montreal, and is currently studying towards Rabbinic ordination. He was student President of McGill Hillel and Montreal Hillel. He has been involved in Jewish education both through informal educational programs and formal teaching. Eddie also serves as Administrator for the Rabbinical Council of America—Montreal Region Conversion Beit Din and is the current Post-secondary Israel Program Advisor at Hebrew Academy. Eddie and his wife, Ahuva, have 2 children, Talia Ashira & Yisrael Yehoshua.
