Jonah Chrosis, 26, a dual Israeli-Greek citizen and resident of Jerusalem, was one of seven people killed in the terror attack perpetrated by two terrorists in Jaffa this evening (Tuesday, 1 October 2024). Six victims were pronounced dead on the scene, the seventh succumbed to wounds after arrival at the hospital. Another 16 people were wounded in the attack.
An only child, he was an architecture student in Tel Aviv. He is survived by his parents, both doctors, who immigrated to Israel in 1988.
The two Palestinian assailants, identified as residents of the West Bank city of Hebron, were in Israel illegally. According to police, one of the assailants was armed with a rifle and the other with a knife, and they attacked light-rail passengers and passers-by near a light-rail station on Jaffa's Jerusalem Boulevard. Security forces subsequently neutralized both perpetrators.
The terror attack — one of the deadliest single attacks in Israel in recent years — came just minutes before Iran launched a massive missile attack on Israel.

In case of discrepancy between the Hebrew and the English, the Hebrew should take precedence.
