Dvir Sharvit, 43, of Kiryat Shmona, was killed in a Hezbollah rocket barrage from Lebanon together with his partner, Revital Yehud, while they were out walking their dogs.

Originally from Kiryat Arba, Dvir moved to Kiryat Shmona after finding work as a confectioner in the Galilee. His partner, Revital, followed him after recovering from cancer two years ago. From the beginning of the Swords of Iron War and the intensification of the rocket and missile attacks from Lebanon, the families of Revital and Dvir had tried to convince them to leave Kiryat Shmona and relocate to Be'er Sheva, but they decided to stay in the city along with their three dogs, who were also killed in the barrage.

Dvir Sharvit will be buried in Kiriat Arba. A date for the funeral has not yet been determined.
