Mina Hasson, 60, of Shfar'am, was killed in a rocket attack from Lebanon while harvesting olives in an olive grove in northern Israel, near Haifa. Her son, Karmi Hasson, who was working with her in the grove, was killed in the attack as well. A total of 7 civilians were killed in rocket attacks that day, the highest single-day casualty rate since the rocket attack on Majdal Shams on 27 July, which killed 12 children.
In a funeral attended by hundreds of mourners, she was laid to rest in Shfar'am on Thursday, 31 October 2024.
