Shimon Najm, 54, of Nahariya, was one of two civilians killed in a rocket attack launched from Lebanon (Tuesday, 12 November 2024) by the Hezbollah terror organization. Born in Lebanon, Najm operated a carpentry business in Nahariya. Formerly a soldier in the South Lebanon Army (SLA), he came to Israel at the time of the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000. The warehouse in which he was working took a direct hit from a rocket and he was killed instantly. He was laid to rest on Thursday (14 November) in the SLA plot in Kibbutz Yehiam.
