Tzachi was separated from his family members and, according to estimates, was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip from his home in Nahal Oz. In a chilling live video from the family's home, all the horrors the family endured were recorded, including the shooting of Maayan, the eldest daughter, an 18-year-old who was murdered. Tzachi's wife, Gali, and their other two children, Yael (11) and Shahar (9), were saved. At one point, the terrorists handcuffed Tzachi and his neighbor, Amri Miran, who had been brought into Tzachi's family home by the terrorists, and took them away, likely in his car.
