Information is accurate to the best of our knowledge.

In case of discrepancy between the Hebrew and the English, the Hebrew should take precedence.

Livnat Kotz, z"l, was murdered in her Kibbutz Kfar Aza family home along with her entire family: husband Aviv, sons Yonatan (16 y.o.) and Yiftach (14 y.o.), and daughter Rotem (19 y.o.). The rescuers found the entire family dead, hugging in bed, with the parents covering the children from above. Aviv and Livnat lived in Boston for a while until moving back to Israel to expand the family. On October 25, Livnat was supposed to celebrate her birthday. As someone for whom giving was a significant trait in her character, she decided that she did not want a celebration and gifts. Instead, she requested that all members of her nuclear and extended family volunteer for an hour or two in some activity and send her photos of themselves volunteering.Livnat was the second of the four children of the Levy family. She was born in Rehovot and spent her childhood in Be'er Sheva. "She had difficulties in her studies, and later it was discovered that she was dyslexic, but she did not give up on herself. After the army, she completed her matriculation and earned a degree in geography and education. At some point, she moved to Tel Aviv, where she met Aviv Kotz, an engineer and project manager at a consulting company. After they got married, they relocated to the United States. And when they decided to expand the family, they settled in Israel 19 years ago.
