Information is accurate to the best of our knowledge.

In case of discrepancy between the Hebrew and the English, the Hebrew should take precedence.

Yarden Buskila, z"l, murdered at the age of 25, at the Nova Music Festival by Kibbutz Reim. Yarden was a manager in a hi-tech company and liked to "devour life". His parents, who didn't know the son was there, heard that something was wrong with his voice. For three days they searched for him in hospitals, until the bitter news arrived - Yarden was murdered. "Two months ago, the whole family went down to Sinai and I told my wife - I don't want more than that, just to keep a straight line," says his father. On one occasion, Yarden and his girlfriend, Amit, heard Israel Bar-On sing "Within touching distance" in Dizengoff Square - and fell in love with the song. After his death, as part of the "Livkot Lachem" project, the family asked the singer to sing in his memory. Yarden served in the elite 8200 unit. "He thought about what he could invent that would help this world" says the mother. "Yarden was our youngest son and with him I did all the repairs that needed to be done," adds father Shimon. His father describes a special relationship between them. "We talked about everything, conversations that I really miss now. He was also a man of the people. I couldn't believe how much a 25-year-old boy could touch thousands of people. If he made it to the age of 25 - what would happen next? But apparently his time ran out."After his death, the family decided to perpetuate his memory through the choice of life and growth. These days they are working to establish a garden in Kibbutz Kfar Masarik, where Yarden grew up - a space where the children and families of the kibbutz and the surrounding area can plant, hang out and be educated according to his values. In favor of the establishment of the garden, they set out to collect masses and ask for the public's help in order to succeed in creating a blooming garden in memory of their son.
